Cuidado Piso Mojado!!!!!!

just want to first of my saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ELLYN WILLIAMS!!!! i hope you read this email or i hope grandma shows it to you!!:D

So this week was pretty interesting. Being a missionary lots of unusual things happen to you. So let me tell you what happened the other night. Me and S.Sorenson were out walking around and we pass by this house that was playing this really really really loud rap music. I say "how about we go and knock on that door" i say that because i know S.Sorenson will for sure say no! and she responds by saying "HECK NO!!! we are going to get the door slammed in our faces!" wahahah how did i know that is what she was going to say! so then we keep walking and i say "well what about this house?" and i point to this random door that we were walking by that had their fround light on. so she agrees and we go up and knock on this door. She can see that there in this small old lady in a chair. She comes to the door and openes it. says "HELLO" grabs me, gives me a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek and tells me to come in!........at this point i am super confused. Is this lady a member? Does she have a bad memory and not remember if we are her grandchildren or something?? This never ever ever happens! so i was all what the heck this is awesome! both of us go in and she tells us to have a seat. We sit down and she says "now what are you here to share with me." still really confused with this really old black lady? does she know that we are missionaries? so wel tell her who we are and what we do and she says that is really nice. She tells us name and it is BABY DALLE!!! like baby doll but Baby Dalle! yep that is her name! most interesting old black lady i have ever met. She had huge glasses that she wears and she is just about 5 feel tall. NOT a member but apparently just lets strangers into her house. She also told us while we were there that she didnt think we could hurt her, but that she had a gun in the corner of the room....lol all in all this lady was actually just crazy but she was also really nice. She told us she was not interested in being mormon.

And then yesterday while i was at the Battalion i met another interesting fellow! i call him stevendavid007 because i dont really know his real name. He took a tour and he is also this really old man, but was wearing an army had so i knew he had been part of the army. He is not a member, but LOVED the tour so much. He got to dress up as a soldier and he was wearing this name tag that said "sup" and i told him that i liked it and he gave it to me! i took a couple pics with him that i will send. I wish i could tell you some of the other cools things, but you just have to go through the Battalion tour to understand...:( or else none of what i will tell you will make sense.

So this week i decided to take a lot more pics. Mainly at the Battalion because i realized that i have not taken a lot there so i will also send those! personally i think they are pretty cool! hope you feel the same way!:)
(ps dad you dont have to put them all on the blog) i just want you and the family to expereince some of my mission at home so thats why i send so many pics! and plus pics are worth a thousand words so yeahhhhh!!!

This week Nikki and Mike Harmon came to the Battalion and IT WAS SOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!! i had no seen them in like 8 years so it was so great to get to see them! they have definitely not aged a single bit!

Well i love you all and i hope you continue to do missionary work! find people that you can give to the misionaries or places that they can stop by because those kinds of members are the best! and every member of the church is a missionary not just the ones with nametags on!!!

i love you all so much and appreciate all the emails:) Dad i loved how you mentioned Feef picking up Princesses gifts, mom you are hilarious as always, Kaylee i loved the long email of everything that has happened it made my day when i read it!:) grandma you are so cute and love all the prayers and hard work you do! tori.....-_- you are slacking on writing to me...and feef i havent heard much from you either...:( i just want to know if your still alive!

oh and the title of this email means CAUTION WET FLOOR in spanish and if i had a spanish band that is what i would name it! hahaha its so much fun to say!

so this week i had to use my epi pen again..........satan is trying to kill me so i cant do missionary work. i ate this salad this week that had cranberry walnut salad dressing and my heart started hurting. It was a weird reaction....i tried so hard to not have to use my epi pen, i took benadryl and drank lots of water, but alas i had to stab myself because i thought me heart was going to stop because it hurt to bad....-_- so now i need more epi pens. But this week just about every single house we have gone to to eat dinner has had nuts in things.....-_- these members are trying to kill me!!! So the mission presidents wife told me some tips of what i can do in my situation:)

This week was really cool because i met Dad's friend Tyler:) He is SOOO nice and i got to take him and his family on tour! I had the best time talking with them and getting to know them. He speaks very highly about the Price family! Especially about Nancy:) I now feel like i have someone in my mission that i can turn to if i need anything, kinda like mission parents! And i also got to meet Taylor the person that Tyson knows! He is super nice but i didnt get to take him on tour because i wasnt in my pioneer dress...:(

This week some miracles happened!!!!!! so my companion wanted to go to lunch with her family because they came to the Battalion and if you have been on a mission you know that that is TOTALLY not allowed!!!!  But she didnt care and wanted to do it anyway, well she did the right thing and asked the mission president and he said no. So instead we went out to eat at this place down the street from the Battalion, it is called Cafe Coyote and it is sooooo good! when we go to pay for our food, the waitress says our meal has been taken care of! there were some members sitting behind us and paid for our food!!!! LIKE WHAT!!!! it was the nicest thing someone could have done for us! And then there was this mariachi band walking around singing to people for money and one of the guys in the band sang to us because he was a member of the church! and we didnt have to pay either! and then right as we were walking out of the restaurant  this lady pulls us over and hands us 10 dollars and says to use it for laundry. she was also a member of the church and has a son on a mission and knows how hard it is and just wanted to give us a little bit of help! LIKE WHAT?!!! it was so awesome!!! you definitely see miracles when you are obedient and listen to the mission president:)

So spiritaul thought for the week for family home evening i want you all to read "HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT" by Brad Wilcox!!! It is my absolute favorite! he is a genius and i am so glad that you sent me some of his CD's that i can listen to in the car! (ps i love all the CD"s that you sent me!!) but read that talk because it talks about Christs grace and the atonement. Second off i want  to share something that i learned this week! So as a member of the church we all get into this habit of studying the scriptures and learning about the things that Christ taught. Am i right?? We do all this studying and learning and then what?? what do we do with that knowledge?? Most of the time we do nothing with it. we just keep it stored up in our mind for future reference right?? Well i am here to say that we all need to be more like Christ!!! we need to take all that knowledge that we have and APPLY it into our life! Use what we learn into our daily interaction with other! So that we BECOME the gospel!  When we become the things that we learn we grow closer to our Savior and are less likely to sin! And honestly what more do you wnt in this life? Being closer to the savior and sinning less?? Wow that sounds pretty amazing to me! So this week everyone will you apply what you learn in the scriptures or in church and become more like the Savior?? I know that as you apply the teaching of Christ you will feel more joy and peace in your life. And i testify that the hardest as well as the easiest of times can be a blessing!!

I love you all so much and pray for you all the time!!!! This year is a full year of missionary work and i hope you all have set faithful goals of the things that you want to become through the Savior this year!!!!:)

CHRISTMAS!!!!! 5 months!!!

This week so much happened!!!!
i will start on Christmas eve! Sister Sorensons grandparents came to the MoBat and then took us out to dinner that night (which i dont think is allowed...) but they took us to this really really nice restaurant. They wanted to take us to the nicest one that they could find to treat us right for Christmas. I got a 37 dollar steak!!!!! Like whaaaa! So that was really nice, we had a lot of delicious food so that was awesome. They also got us Christmas presents! woo! and then i went home and opened all my presents! Because i wasn't going to have time the next morning. All the sisters sad in the hallway of the apartment building and we opened them together so that was really fun!:) I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful things that you sent me!! It was such a memorable Christmas:) So then the next day (Christmas day) me and the comp go to the marnie base and sing to the marines. It was such a cool experience!! we go into this building and it is freezing col because they don't give the marines AC or heating, and these poor marnie's sit down and are allowed to eat one cookie. So we give them a cookie and sing to them and they are all crying. These huge grown men are weeping because they are alone on Christmas. They literally have NOTHING!!! Not even heating! i thought my situation was not fun, NO it could be worse, i could be a marine in boot camp right now. So then after we sing the mission president gets up and he shares this beautiful poem about a marine and Santa. It is the most touching poem i have ever heard and it made me cry. I cried so much. I realized that missionaries are a lot like marines. We both sacrifice so much to serve. We are both fighting. Missionaries are fighting a spiritual battle, and marines a physical battle. But no matter if we are not with our families for Christmas, no matter if we have a lot of presents or just a cookie, the one thing that is given to all of us this Christmas is Christ. Jesus Christ was born so we can all live again. He will never leave us alone. The atonement is available for all that desire it and on that cold Christmas morning that is what i learned.
After we left that i went to the church and GOT TO CALL MY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!! shortest 40 minutes of my life, but it was so good to talk to you all even though you all make fun of my for being spiritual...-_-...thanks for being insensitive, but none the less i was so happy to see you all! Truly made my day/ year/ most memorable Christmas ever! and if you are all wondering yes i did cry! Ok does that make me any less of a women if i cried saying goodbye to my family? i say NO! then after that i went to the Battalion the rest of the day.
Then the nest day something so so so so so so cool happened! it was totally an answer to my prayer! i have been praying to go Spanish speaking because i want to learn Spanish so bad, but i don't think that it will ever happen, so instead i got to go on exchanges with Hermana Barney and i got to go Spanish speaking for one day!!!!!! IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!!! we ate dinner with the Aguliar Family at this Peruvian place and man it was so good, and the whole time everyone is speaking Spanish and i understood about 60 percent of what was being said so i was pretty impressed...:) I even got to speak to them and they just laugh when i speak Spanish and tell me how cute i am...but it was so awesome! we went to this lesson and i couldn't say much, but the man could understand English so i spoke English to him and he would respond in Spanish..which i couldn't understand most of the time, but the most amazing thing about it was even when you don't know the language that is being spoken you can still feel the spirit and it still testifies to you that what is being said is true! I felt the spirit so strong in that lesson, even though i didn't understand what was being said!! Like whaaaa??? It was truly an experience that increased my faith and i am so thankful for the time that i had to go Spanish speaking!!!:D
Then on Sunday sister sorensons WHOLE family came to the Battalion and it was crazy. He family is awesome and fun and it made me wish that my family was here visiting me:) Oh by the way everyone now says that i have the MOST HILARIOUS family:) way to go guys!

Oh I totally forgot something totally important this week! we baptized FAITH!!!!! wooo! i will send pics of it all! but her baptism was totally the most stressful thing ever....but she did it so yayy! she is in the kingdom now!:)I love you all so much and love all the emails that you send me now that you all have the latest iphone;) talk to you all next week! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Day 146 CHRISTMAS!!!

Hello!!!!

This WEEK IS CHRISTMAS AND I GET TO SKYPE/FACE TIME HOME!!!!!!!! i am seriously sooo so so excited even though we get less than an hour to do it....-_- (still trying to love mission rules even though it seems like they were made by satan) but i will be calling home around 12:00 san diego time, so i have no idea what time that will be in Roswell so make sure you are all ready!

So this week was awesome! The Bills family came to the Battalion this week and IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!!! I got to take them on a tour and i hope that they enjoyed it! It was literally just what i needed! To have someone that you know come through the Battalion is just about the best thing and especially the Bills family because they are so awesome and Sister Bills and I have such a strong relationship and the entire time i took their family on tour you could feel the spirit so strong and ahh i will tell you more about it when i Skype home:)

not trying to scare you mom, but i almost died this week....because i ate nuts.....and had to use my epi pen.....in the middle of a lesson.....because i ate a cookie that had nuts in it at a members home and.....i couldnt breath....but used my epi pen and now im ok:) I will also tell you more about that lovely experience when i see yall on friday!

Yesterday was the Christmas devotional and what that is, all the missionaries in the entire mission get together (which never happens) and the mission president talks to us and they show this huge slide show of all the baptisms in the entire year and by watching that it made me SOO motivated to go out and baptize everyone!!! it was a good way to end/start the new year! :)

So i am geting my hair colored today so wish me luck that she does a good job or i might just kill myself because i feel like an ugly nun here on my mission because i literally have 0 time to get ready and take care of myself....not even kidding i usually have about 20 minutes in the morning to get ready, and Dad i already know what you are going to say "thats more than enough time to get ready" no its not! being on a mission you can control absolutely nothing except what you eat and what you look like and so the fact that i cant even control that really makes me angry/sad/anxious/nervous/angry/angry/mad....:)

Well i only have a tiny bit of time on the computers today...:( but i will see you all on Christmas!!!! woooo i hope you are all as excited as i am! and Shout out to Tori for writing me an email this week! first time in basically forever!:P woo i love you all so much! thank you for all the wonderful Christmas present:s):):):) you sure know how to treat a girl;)
