Day 97

Good Morning Everyone!!!

This week has been absolutely CRAZY and i am so excited to tell you all about it!!! So this week we found a new investigator and his name is John. He is a marine and he is really good friends with one of our members. We met him at the members home when we were having dinner. We started talking to him about what he believes in and he straight up told us that he wants to learn more about the Mormon church, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS!! so we were pretty stoked from the beginning, and we teach him about the Restoration and ask him to pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. The next lesson that we teach him is the very next day at the temple which was awesome because when you are on the ground of the temple the spirit is so strong and when we asked him how praying went he said, you might want to hold on to your seat because this is so awesome, John told us that "I prayed and i know for sure that this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God!!" I just want you all to know that people NEVER EVER say that!!! Especially on the second lesson!!! it was so awesome! John told us his story of his life how he wants with all his heart to follow Jesus Christ and how grateful he is for us and the impact we have made on his life, (and just remember that this is the second time that we have met with him) After that lesson we asked him to come to church, and he did:) Except he couldn't stay for all 3 hours because he had to go on duty, but that ok because yesterday we met with him at the members home and he cooked us dinner!!! Yes that's right one of our investigators cooked us dinner and it was so delicious! He is from Texas so he made us some good ole Texas food! We taught him about the POS (plan of Salvation) and he didn't have any problems with it! (which also never happens) and he will be coming to the battalion tonight so we can take him through a tour that i know he is going to love because he is in the military and the Mormon Battalion is a group of religious soldiers so its going to be great!:) John is going to get baptized November 28th and ah i cant explain to you how amazing it is! He is so prepared and has so much faith in Jesus Christ and he is just a straight up great guy! he walks me and Sister Stirland out to our car after every lessons and opens both of our doors for us:) and has always has to resist from hugging us all the time!:) John is the definition of a golden investigator and he has blessed my life so much!

So many other miracles have happen this week! we got 3 of our other investigators with baptismal dates as well! Mine and Sister Stirlands goal is to baptize 10 people before Christmas day! so please pray that we will find people that are ready to be baptized:) And also by Christmas day our mission has a goal that we will have read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover in less than 80 days! i started October 1st and i m already at the end of Alma. Im pretty stoked about that:) i have never read the BOM so fast in my life before! The work is progressing and the weather is finally getting cooler and i love it, except everyone here in San Diego is putting on coats and pants and its just weird because its not even cold outside. Lol San Diego Probs!
